Stoneyford 10k Challenge 2014

New team registration available

AAI club members can now register as a team of 4 and avail of a €10 discount. Please note all team members entered will also be entered into the individual race. Only registered teams will be eligible for the club team prize.

The Fifth run of the Stoneyford 10km Challenge will take place on Sunday, 11th May 2014. This is an initiative of the Stoneyford Parents Association and all proceeds will go to Scoil Náisiúnta Chiaráin Naofa, our local primary school.

The Stoneyford 10km Challenge is a 10 kilometer road race/event. It should appeal to all, both young and old, from the seriously competitive athlete to the casual jogger, the dedicated walker or carefree stroller. The Stoneyford 10k Race has AAI Approval and is strictly over 18’s.

Over €1000 in cash prizes to be won for the first 5 Men and Lady Finishers. There is also a Course Record Bonus of €50. Following the success in 2013 of the 5K Juvenile Race we have decided to make it a permanent fixture with the event. For those of us less competitive, there is no need to worry as there will be numerous spot prizes and age category prizes. Refreshments will also be available to all finishers.

The entry fee is €15 for 10K Runners (chipped), €10 for 5K Juvenile Runners (chipped) and 10K Walkers/Fun Runners.1 0k Runners can register online. 5K Juvenile Runners and 10k Walkers/Fun Runners can register on the day in Stoneyford Community Hall. All online entrants entered in draw for Louis Fitzgearld Hotel Vouchure including Bed & Breakfast and dinner for 2. . 2014 5k Juvenile Race The 5k Juvenile Race will be a chipped race open to under 18’s. Starting at Lodges Physiotherapists, heading up the Stonecarty hill, round Cherrymount and finishing though the village at Stoneyford Community Hall. Enter on the day at Stoneyford Community Hall.

2014 Couch to 10k Stoneyford AC will be hosting the Couch to 10k Training Program in Stoneyford Community . Field. C210K traing will take palce on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7.00pm and Saturday mornings at 9.00am. This has prooved to be a great success over the past three years allowing people of all levels to get fit and meet new people. All welcome. Contact Stoneyford AC for more details 086 739 8162.

Church Hill National School 10k / 5k 2014

10k Race / 10k Jog/Walk / 5k Fun Run
Church Hill Running Club in conjunction with The Parents Association of Church Hill National School will hold a 10k race ( Chip Timed ) / 5k family fun run on April 27th 2014.
This event will take place around the beautiful countryside of Cuffesgrange, Co. Kilkenny.
The purpose of this annual event is to raise much needed funds for Church Hill National School.
Registration on the day in school.

St Patrick’s Day 5K Dash 2014

Kilkenny City Harriers and Fit4Life will hold their annual 5k ‘St Patrick’s Day Dash’ on Monday March 17th, which will start and finish at The Watershed.

There will be chip timing and prizes for the first three men, three women, three junior girls and three junior boys.

Splashworld 10k 2014

Great Heath 10K 2014

This is a chipped race with results text to runners a short time after the race finishes. The route is a scenic run through the countryside of Shaen, Ballydavis and The Heath. The route is generally flat and suitable for first time entries. Hot and cold refreshments along with food are served after the race in the clubhouse. The prizes on offer are as follows: (Men & Women) 1st 250e, 2nd 150e and 3rd 50e. The technical t-shirt is a unique Savy sports design. This race is fully marshaled and we pride ourselves with not allowing traffic on the race route.

Directions
Coming from Dublin (on M7): – At junction 15, exit toward R422/Móinteach Mílic/Mountmellick/Cúil an tSúdaire/Portarlington/Cill an Áird/Killenard – At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit (Onto next roundabout). – At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto R445, continue for approx 4.1km. – When you see Treacys Restaurant (Hatched roof) take next left, clubhouse is 100m straight ahead. Coming from Cork/Limerick (on M7): – At junction 16, take the R445 exit to Port Laoise/Ceatharlach/Carlow – At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto R445 (signposted The Heath). – Continue for approx 2.5km. Take next right and the clubhouse is 100m straight ahead.
