Chip Timing is an electronic way to time your race. Participants wear a timing chip that records their time as they cross designated timing points. This information is then fed directly to our computers and results are available instantaneously.
The main advantages of using chip timing are
- Accuracy. Reduces the risk of human error and participants get an accurate chip time.
- Less manual work. Using chip timing removes the need to manually collect finish times for each finisher, manually collect bib numbers for each finisher, keeping finishers in order in the chute, correlating bibs and times etc.
- Speed of results. Results are available as soon as the finisher crosses the line.
